Fall in Ocean Beach is the locals' reward after tourist season. September is often the warmest month, with Santa Ana winds bringing clear skies and temperatures into the 80s. October stays warm, and even November rarely dips below the mid-60s during the day. The ocean is at its warmest (up to 72°F in September), making it the best time for swimming and water sports without a thick wetsuit.
